Quilt 24 - Plaid Nine Patch

2000-ish, 45 x 60
This was another design-as-I-go quilt. Mom used to go to a wholesale place that had bags of fabric you bought by the pound. It was usually samples and smaller pieces of fabric. We ended up with a bag of plaid pieces.
I started with the nine patches, but it was getting little busy so I tried a few different sashes before deciding on the white with plaid strips in the center. Thankfully there were some larger pieces that I could use for the set in blocks. I used scrap plaids for the binding.

I love the homespun quality of your plaid quilt. It's just beautiful. ncq
