1991, 60 x 84
This sampler quilt was made for Brian's graduation in 1990. (Brian is Ione's son and Karen's brother.) It was a couple of years in the making but he had it by the time he went to school in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada.
The flying geese sashing was an idea I thought would be a great use of scrap half square triangles. Many, many hours later the two rows were finished.
Below is a list of people who contributed blocks to this quilt:
Matanuska - Glaciers to remember Alaska State Ferries - Aunt Adele
Bear Paw - Mom (Ione)
Ohio Star - Sue
Log Cabin - Grandma Ewert
Cross - Aunt Edith
Log Cabin - Aunt Betty
Ohio Star Variation - unknown
Cross Country Skiing - Sam
Moon over Mountain - Aunt Gladys
