Quilt 129 - American Hero Quilt - Log Cabin

2009

50 x 70"

Another quilt made by Ione for the American Hero Quilt Project. This quilt used up 2" scraps from fabrics donated to the project. Ione used gold star on blue background for half of the log cabin block, creating a great back-drop for the scrappy red strips. The blocks were arranged to create diamonds and Ione alternated her quilting style in each row. Stars were quilted in the blue and the logs were followed in the red srappy rows. The bottom picture shows the quilting on the back of the quilt.

If you would like to know more about this project, please check out their website at http://www.americanheroquilts.com/.
Happy Birthday, Roland!
