We found this border fabric in one of our by the pound fabric bags. There wasn't much of it, but we knew some day it would make a great little girl's quilt. When I found out my friend Carla was having a girl, I knew this would be just the thing.
I wanted the border fabric to stand out, so we made simple primitive hearts for the center. I had made Allison's older brother a tractor quilt and Carla decorated his room around it. Carla being the clever gal she is, refinished a dresser and painted angels to match Ally's quilt on the side of it.
